Pyropel MD-12 is a high temperature, lightweight fiberboard. The material is semi-rigid with very low thermal conductivity. Pyropel MD-12 excels in applications which require dimensionally stable insulation components. Continuous use temperatures up to 550ºF.

Pyropel MD-18 is a lightweight, high- temperature, semi-rigid insulation. Similar to MD-12 but with enhanced mechanical properties. These properties make MD-18 the primary grade for non-load bearing industrial applications.

Pyropel MD-30 is a rigid, polyimide hardboard insulation designed to be a slightly compressible thermal spacer or insulation in tooling, die press, and machinery applications. It can be cut easily with conventional cutting tools, waterjet or cnc routing.

Pyropel MD-50 is a rigid, high compressive strength hardboard. It can be used continuously under compressive loads up to 550ºF. It deforms slightly under pressure to conform to small surface irregularities. Pyropel MD-50 is designed as a polyimide plate where temperature and compressive strength are the key properties required.

Pyropel MD-60 is a rigid insulation for mechanically demanding applications. It is the most structurally rigid grade of Pyropel fiber boards and offers the highest compression resistance and physical tolerances. Primarily used in high pressure molding applications for tool base and platen insulation. Pyropel MD-60 is easy and safe to machine using conventional machining techniques.

Pyropel HD is 100% polyimide thermoset plastic. For applications requiring extreme durability, high temperature, chemical, and wear resistance. Pyropel HD can be machined into intricate 3-D shapes with conventional machining techniques.
