Pyropel® MD-30 Medium Density
Pyropel® MD-30 is a polyimide hardboard insulation designed to be a slightly compressible thermal spacer or insulation in tooling, die press, and machinery applications. It does not burn, melt, drip or emit noxious odors when in direct contact with flame. It can be cut easily with a sharp knife or blade and machines readily. Drilling, milling, routing and sawing processes can all be used with standard high-speed steel cutting tools.
Typical Uses / Industry
Pyropel MD-30 is a tough, durable, non-ceramic insulation board that can be cut and machined easily into thermal spacers, insulation for heated presses, or heated molds. Pyropel MD-30 has sufficient strength to support or mount auxiliary components directly to the surface. The material is used in scientific instruments and industrial machinery where a hot zone needs to be thermally isolated and the insulation is under compressive stress.
Custom Finishing and Fabricating
Pyropel MD-30 is available in standard 24" x 36" x 5/16" panels. Custom sizes are available.
